PENERAPAN METODE LEARNING CONTRACT UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI PENERAPAN PRINSIP DESAIN DI SMK MUHAMMADIYAH 1 BOROBUDUR

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) pelaksanaan pembelajaran penerapan
prinsip desain dengan metode Learning Contract di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Borobudur, (2)
peningkatan kompetensi penerapan prinsip desain dengan metode Learning Contract di SMK
Muhammadiyah 1 Borobudur. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK).
Tahapan penelitian terdiri dari tiga tahapan, yaitu : (1) Perencanaan, (2) tindakan dan
observasi, (3) refleksi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analis is deskriptif. Hasil penelitian
ini adalah : (1) pelaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan 2 siklus dan melalui beberapa tahap
yaitu : 1) Pendahuluan terdiri dari ; (a) salam dan doa, (b) apersepsi, (c) menjelaskan metode
Learning Contract, 2) Kegiatan inti; (a) membagi kelompok, (b) menjelaskan materi
penerapan prinsip desain, (c) membagi jobsheet, (d) membuat kontrak belajar, (e) membuat
desain busana pesta wanita, (f) mengumpulkan desain sesuai kontrak, 3) Penutup : (a)
evaluasi, (b) motivasi, (c) salam dan doa, (2) peningkatan kompetensi penerapan prinsip
desain pada pra siklus menghasilkan rerata 67,70 atau 32,4% mencapai KKM; siklus I rerata
57,26 atau 5,9% mencapai KKM; siklus II rerata 74,5 atau 97% mencapai KKM.

This Study aimed to investigate: 1) the implementation of the learning by applying
design principles using the Learning Contract method at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Borobudur;
2) the improvement of the competency in applying design principles using the Learning
Contract method at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Borobudur. This was classroom action research
study. The data analysis technique in the study was the descriptive analysis technique. The
result of the study were follows: (1) The Learning Contract method was applied in 2 cycles
with the following steps: 1) opening activities consisting of;(a) greeting and prayer, (2)
apperception, and (3) explanation of the Learning Contract Method; 2)main activities
consisting of: (1) grouping. (2) explanation of the materials of design principles, (3)
distribution of job sheet, (4) lerning contract agreement, (5) makin designs of women’s, and
(6) collection of designs according to the contract; and 3) closing activities consisting of (a)
evaluation, (b) motivation, (c) greeting prayer. (2) The competency in applying design
principles in the pre cycles was indicated by a mean score of 57.26 or 5.9% attaining the
MMC; in cycle I mean score was 67.70 or 32.4% attaining the MMC; in the cycle II mean
score was 74.5 or 97% attaining the MMC.
