EFEKTIVITAS METODE PEMBELAJARAN STUDENT TEAM ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION (STAD) DALAM PENCAPAIAN KOMPETENSI MEMBUAT SAKU VEST SISWA KELAS X SMK NEGERI 2 JEPAR

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Pencapaian kompetensi membuat saku vest kelas kontrol yang
menggunakan metode ceramah, 2) Pencapaian kompetensi membuat saku vest kelas eksperimen yang
menggunakan metode STAD, 3) efektivitas metode STAD dalam pencapaian kompetensi membuat saku vest. Jenis
penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian tipe Nonequivalent Pretest Posttest
Control Group Design. Penelitian dilakukan pada kelas X program keahlian tata busana di SMK N 2 Jepara.
Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa X tata busana berjumlah 76 siswa, sampel penelitian berjumlah 38 siswa
pada setiap kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, observasi dan penilaian unjuk kerja. Validitas
instrumen menggunakan validitas isi. Uji reliabilitas menggunakan alpha cronbach’s. Teknik analisis data
menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) pencapaian kompetensi
membuat saku vest pada kelas kontrol, nilai rerata pretest sebesar 68,28 sedangakan nilai rerata posttest sebesar
76,29 dan sebanyak 25 siswa dalam kategori tuntas, 2) pencapaian kompetensi membuat saku vest kelas
eksperimen, nilai rerata pretest sebesar 66,18 sedangkan nilai rerata posttest sebesar 80,90 dan sebanyak 36 siswa
dalam kategori tuntas, 3) Metode STAD efektif untuk pencapaian kompetensi membuat saku vest, yang dibuktikan
dengan adanya perbedaan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen, menunjukkan bahwa pencapaian kompetensi
pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol.

Abstract
This study aims to find out: 1) The attainment of the competency in making vest pocket in the control class
using lecture method, 2) The attainment of competency in making vest pocket in the experimental class using
STAD method, 3) The effectiveness of the STAD method in attainment of the competency in making vest pocket.
This was a quasi experimental research with design research type Nonequivalent Pretest Posttest Control Group
Design. The study was conducted at grade X of the expetise program of fashion design of SMK N 2 Jepara. The
research population comprised all Grade X student of fashion design with a total of 76 students, the sample of the
study amounted to 38 students in each class. The data were collected by tests, observations and performance test.
The Instrument validity was assessed in terms of content validity. The reliability was assessed by alpha cronbach's.
The data analysis techniques were the descriptive analysis and t-test. The result of the study showed that: 1) the
attainment of competency in making vest pocket in the control class, the pretest mean scores 68.28 while the
mean posttest score of 76.29 and the 25 students were in the mastery category, 2) the attainment of competency
making vest pocket in the experimental class, the pretest mean score 66.18 while the posttest mean score 80.90 and
the 36 students were in the mastery category, 3) the STAD method was effective in the the attainment of the
competency in making vest pocket, indicated by a difference between the control class and the experimental class,
this showed that the attainment of the competency in the experimental class is higher than that in the control class.
