TEACHER’S UNDERSTANDING ABOUT IMPLEMENTATION OF CURRICULUM OF CIVIC EDUCATION at VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL’S IN YOGYAKARTA

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to describe the teacher’s understanding about the implementation of curriculum of Civic Education in terms of change of name, purpose, material method and teacher response about the implementation of curriculum PPKn In Vocational High School Yogyakarta. The type of research used is descriptive with qualitative research approach. Determination of research subjects using the appropriate purposive criterion technique is the teacher S1 study program PPKn. Data collection techniques with interviews and documentation. Technique examination of data validity used with cross check data. The data obtained is analyzed by preparing and organizing the data that is forming theme, category, pattern and meaning. The results of this study describe the understanding of Vocational High School in Yogyakarta about the implementation of the curriculum in terms of names, objectives, materials and methods of PPKn subjects. In addition, this study shows the positive and negative impacts of teacher’s responses on the subject matter of PPKn curriculum at Vocational High School in Yogyakarta.
