BOOK MATERIAL SUITABILITY ANALYSIS OF PPKn HIGHSCHOOL X CLASS CURRICULUM 2013 REVISED EDITION WITH CIVICS EDUCATION GRADUATE COMPETENCY STANDARDS
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The aim of this research is to identify the material suitability in the book of PPKn High School X Class Curriculum 2013 Revised Edition 2016, with the Graduate Competency Standards of Civic Education. This research is a descriptive content analysis research with qualitative approach. Reading notes technique is used to collect the data of this research, this technique is done by reads and notes the items of learning materials contained in the textbooks. Furthermore, to analyze the data, a data card used to record the items of learning material contained in the PPKn textbook. Technique used to check the validity of data is by considering the aspects of validity and reliability. Based on the material suitability analysis in the book of PPKn High School X Class Curriculum 2013, four conclusions are obatained: 1) Competency Standard to be achieved through the material in the book of "PPKn High School X Class of Curriculum 2013 Revised Edition 2016" in accordance with KI and KD of PPKn High School/Vocational High School/Islamic High School /Vocational Islamic High School Curriculum 2013, so the Graduate Competency Standards could be achieved. 2) Book of PPKn High School X Class Curriculum 2013 Revised Edition 2016 contains materials of politics, law, morals and civics science fields. The material contained in the book of PPKn High School X Class Curriculum 2013 is in accordance with the reference contained in the Graduate Competency Standards, as referred in 4 pillars of PPKn (Pancasila, UUD NRI 1945, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, NKRI). 3) From the results of the SKL KI and KD domains correlation analysis, it can be concluded that KI and KD of PPKn in accordance with the Curriculum 2013 knowledge dimension. For class X students the dimension of cognitive process is to remember, understand, apply and analyze. 4) The book "PPKn High School Class X Curriculum 2013 Revised Edition 2016" suitability is assessed from 4 aspects, there are: material aspect shows 100% compliance and include in "very appropriate" criteria with graduate competency standard; aspects of material presentation show 100% conformity and include in "very appropriate" criteria with the graduate competency standards; the language and readability aspects show 82.24% suitability and include in "appropriate" criteria with the graduate competency standards and 17.76% of language and readability aspects indicating some non-conformity with the records; Graphic aspects show 89.28% suitability and include in "very appropriate" criteria with graduate competency standard and 10.72% of graphic aspect show some non-conformity with the records.
