EFEKTIVITAS MODEL PROJECT BASED LEARNING DENGAN INTEGRASI STEAM UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS VII DI SMPN 3 IMOGIRI

Abstract


Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan permasalahan pada hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPS rendah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran di SMPN 3 Imogiri belum berjalan secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif penggunaan model pembelajaran project based learning dengan integrasi STEAM untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas VII di SMPN 3 Imogiri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan rancangan pretest-posttest non equalivalent control group, penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian melibatkan 127 siswa. Metode pengambilan sampel dengan simple random sampling sebesar 64 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes. Teknik analsisi data menggunakan analisis deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan Uji-T dilanjutkan dengan uji standar gain untuk menentukan tingkat keefektivan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung sebesar -11.222 < ttabel -1,998 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,005, sehingga dapat dikatakan penggunaan model pembelajaran project based learning dengan integrasi STEAM efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS kelas VII di SMPN 3 Imogiri.
