QUALITY ANALYSIS FOR WIRELESS NETWORK BASED ON QOS AT STATE VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL 1 BANTUL

Abstract

The study aim to (1) discover quality of wireless network in SMK N 1 Bantul, (2) calibrate the quality of wireless network based on QoS. This study is constitute to evaluation with summative model. Samples of this research are hotspot with SSID RUSDIYANTO in TKJ room , hotspot with SSID Ruang Guru in teacher room, hotspot with SSID Perpustakaan and hotspot with SSID BOOKS in school library. This research apply observation for data collection method. Data analyze that used on this study is statistic and table. The conclusions of the study are as follows (1) the quality of network in SMK N 1 Bantul in TKJ room and teacher is categorized good because it has bandwidth value> 1 mbps, delay < 300 ms, jitter < 75 ms, but packet loss <15% and network quality in SMK N 1 Bantul at library is categorized bad because it has bandwidth <1 mbps, delay> 450 ms, jitter> 150 ms and packet loss> 25%, (2) wireless network quality testing in SMK N 1 Bantul can be calibrated by observing the value of bandwidth, delay, jitter and packet loss using iperf and smokeping software then compare it to QoS standard based on TIPHON, Permenkominfo No. 2 Year 2013, and IEEE 802.11.
