Abstrak
Permasalahan yang terjadi dalam proses latihan yaitu diperlukannya suatu media yang
menarik dan menyenangkan sehingga dapat mempermudah atlet atau peserta didik
dalam memahami materi pengenalan teknik dasar tenis lapangan. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk menghasilkan suatu produk berupa buku saku pengenalan teknik dasar
tenis lapangan pada usia dini. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan
pengembangan (Research and Development), yang menggunakan sepuluh langkah
dalam penelitian pengembangan. Pengembangan media latihan buku saku pengenalan
teknik dasar, terlebih dahulu divalidasi oleh satu ahli materi dan satu ahli media. 10 atlet
atau peserta didik untuk uji coba kelompok kecil, 20 atlet/ peserta didik untuk uji coba
lapangan/ kelompok besar. Subyek analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah atlet Selabora
Tenis Lapangan UNY dan atlet Klub Tenis Bantul. Data dianalisis dengan pendekatan
deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan:
secara keseluruhan, media latihan buku saku pengenalan teknik dasar tenis lapangan ini
dikategorikan layak digunakan dalam pengenalan latihan tenis lapangan pada usia dini.
Berdasarkan dari validasi ahli, kelayakan dari media latihan buku saku pengenalan tenis
lapangan untuk anak usia 8-10 tahun meliputi: dari ahli materi 86,36%, dan dari ahli
media 92,19%. Uji coba kelompok kecil kelayakan sebesar 84,25%, uji coba lapangan
atau kelompok besar kelayakan sebesar  86,37%. Secara keseluruhan media latihan buku
saku pengenalan teknik dasar tenis lapangan pada usia dini layak digunakan dalam
pengenalan dan latihan teknik dasar tenis lapangan.

Abstract
A problem in a training process is the need for interesting and enjoyable media to make it easy
for athletes or students to understand the materials for basic techniques of lawn tennis. This
study aimed to yield a product in the form of a pocket book to introduce basic techniques of
lawn tennis to early aged children. This was a research and development study employing ten
steps in research and development. The development of a pocket book as training media to
introduce basic techniques involved validation by one materials expert and one media expert.
Ten athletes or students were involved in the small-scale tryout and 20 athletes or students were
involved in the large-scale/field tryout. The research subjects were the athletes of Selabora
Tenis Lapangan UNY and those of Klub Tenis Bantul. The data were analyzed using the
quantitative and qualitative descriptive techniques. The results of the research and development
are as follows. On the whole, the pocket book as training media to introduce basic techniques of
lawn tennis is appropriate to introduce basic techniques of lawn tennis to early aged children.

86.36% from the materials expert and 92.19% from the media expert. From the small-scale
tryout it is 84.25% and from the large-scale/field tryout it is 86.370. On the whole, the pocket
book as training media to introduce basic techniques of lawn tennis to early aged children is
appropriate for the introduction and training of basic techniques of lawn tennis.
