MOTIVASI SISWA MEMILIH KELAS KHUSUS BAKAT ISTIMEWA OLAHRAGA (BIO) DI SMA NEGERI 4 YOGYAKARTA

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh ketertarikan siswa untuk menjadi siswa kelas khusus Bakat Istimewa Olahraga (BIO) yang memiliki jam berlatih olahraga tambahan, dibanding siswa reguler. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa tinggi motivasi siswa dalam memilih kelas khusus Bakat Istimewa Olahraga (BIO) di SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode survei, teknik pengambilan datanya dengan menggunakan angket. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas khusus Bakat Istimewa Olahraga (BIO) SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 70 siswa. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan teknik statistik deskriptif dengan persentase. Uji Validitas instrumen menggunakan rumus Pearson Product Moment dengan hasil butir soal yang valid berjumlah 35 butir dari 43 pernyataan. Uji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach sebesar 0,970 sehingga instrument tersebut reliabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan motivasi siswa memilih kelas khusus Bakat Istimewa Olahraga (BIO) di SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta memiliki persentase yaitu sangat tinggi 8,57% (6 siswa), kategori tinggi 18,57% (13 siswa), kategori sedang 44,29% (31 siswa), kategori rendah 25,71% (18 siswa) dan kategori sangat rendah 2,86% (2 siswa). Kata kunci: Motivasi, kelas khusus Bakat Istimewa Olahraga (BIO), SMA Negeri 4 Yogyakarta Abstract This research was based on students motivation on becoming students of Bakat Istimewa Olahraga (BIO) special class that have extra sport hour for practicing compared to other regular students. This research was aimed to know how high the motivation level of the students in Bakat Istimewa Olahraga (BIO) special class in SMA 4 Yogyakarta. This was a descriptive research using survey method and the data was collected using questionnaire. The subject of the research was all students of Bakat Istimewa Olahraga (BIO) special class with the total of the students is 70 students. The, the data was analysed using descriptive statistic technique with percentage. The instrument validity test used Pearson Product Moment with the number of the valid question item is 35 from 43 items. The reliability test used Alpha Croncbach with the result is 0,970, so it can be said that the instrument is reliable. The result showed that the students motivation in choosing the Bakat Istimewa Olahraga (BIO) special class in SMA 4 Yogyakarta has the following percentage that are very high criteria 8,57% (6 students), high criteria 18,57% (13 students), average criteria 44,29% (31 students), low criteria 25,71 (18 students), and very low criteria 2,86% (2 students).
