TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN SISWA SD KELAS IV DAN V DI SD NEGERI SEGUGUS 1 KECAMATAN WATES TERHADAP OLAHRAGA RENANG

Abstrak  
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi bahwa aspek pengetahuan cabang olahraga renang sangat diperlukan, namun
pada prosesnya belum berjalan maksimal. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan siswa SD kelas
IV dan V di SD Negeri se-Gugus 1 Kecamatan Wates terhadap olahraga renang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian
deskriptif. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei dengan teknik pengambilan data menggunakan tes pilihan ganda.
Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas IV dan V di SD Negeri se-Gugus 1 Kecamatan Wates yang
berjumlah 333 siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif yang dituangkan dalam bentuk persentase.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan siswa SD kelas IV dan V di SD Negeri se-Gugus 1
Kecamatan Wates terhadap olahraga renang berada pada kategori “sangat rendah” sebesar 5,11% (17 siswa), kategori
“rendah” sebesar 29,43% (98 siswa), kategori “sedang” sebesar 34,53% (115 siswa), kategori “tinggi” sebesar 24,92%
(83 siswa), dan kategori “sangat tinggi” sebesar 6,01% (20 siswa).

Abstract  
The research is motivated that the knowledge aspect of swimming is very necessary, but the process
has not run optimally. The research aims to find out the level of knowledge of the fourth and fifth grade
elementary school students in SD Negeri (State Elementary School) in Cluster 1 Wates District on
swimming. This research was descriptive research. The method used was by survey with data collection
technique using multiple choice test. The population in this research were all students of grade IV and V in
SD Negeri Cluster 1 Wates District of 333 students. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis
presented in the form of percentage. The research results show that the level of knowledge of fourth and fifth
grade elementary school students in SD Negeri Cluster 1 Wates District on swimming is in the "very low"
category  5.11% (17 students), in "low" category 29.43% (98 students), in the "medium" category 34.53%
(115 students), in the "high" category 24.92% (83 students), and in the "very high" category 6.01% (20
students).
