Guru sering dijadikan tokoh teladan bagi peserta didik, bahkan ada juga yang menjadikan guru
sebagai tokoh identifikasi diri. Guru harus memiliki kompetensi kepribadian yang memadai untuk
mengembangkan peserta didik secara utuh. Maka dari itu perlu diketahuiterlebih dahulu seberapa besar
kompetensi kepribadian guru jaman sekarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa baik
kompetensi kepribadian guru pendidikan jasmani SD se-Kabupaten Klaten. Penelitian ini merupakan
penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan metode survei. Populasi penelitian ini sekitar 800 lebih
sekolah dasar, sampel yang diambil sebanyak 80 sekolah dasar. Namun responden yang bersedia dan siap
hanya 56 sekolah dasar. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa skala kepribadian dengan 29 butir pernyataan.
Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif yang dituangkan dalam bentuk
persentase. Setelah dilakukan penelitian, didapatkan hasil bahwa terdapat 2 guru (4,00%) yang
berkategori sangat baik, 16 guru (28,57%) kategori baik, 22 guru (39,28%) kategori cukup baik, 9 guru
(16,08%) kategori buruk, 7 guru (17,50%) kategori sangat buruk. Berdasarkan hasil persentase dan
frekuensi terlihat bahwa kompetensi kepribadian guru pendidikan jasmani SD se-Kabupaten Klaten yang
mempunyai persentase paling tinggi yaitu pada kategori cukup baik sebesar 39,28%.

Abstract
Teachers are often used as role models for students, and some even make teachers as personal
identification figures. Teachers must have adequate personality competency to develop students as a
whole. Therefore, it is necessary to find out in advance how much the competence of teachers’ personality
today. The research intends at investigating how good the personality competency of physical education
teachers for elementary school in Klaten District is. The research was descriptive quantitative research
using survey method. Population of the research was around 800 more elementary schools, the samples
were taken for 80 elementary schools. However, only 56 elementary schools were willing and prepared.
Instrument used was by personality scale with 29 statement items. Data analysis technique employed
descriptive quantitative analysis presented in the form of percentages. After doing the research, the
results show that 2 teachers (4.00%) are in very good category, 16 teachers (28.57%) in good category,
22 teachers (39.28%) in quite good category, 9 teachers (16.08%) in bad category, and 7 teachers
(17.50%) in very bad category. Based on the percentage and frequency results, it can be seen that the
personality competence of physical education teachers for elementary school in Klaten District falls in
the highest percentage that is in the quite good category 39.28%.
