KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PERMULAAN PADA ANAK TK KELOMPOK B DI GUGUS SIDOMUKTI MANTRIJERON YOGYAKARTA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan membaca permulaan anak TK kelompok B di
Gugus Sidomukti Mantrijeron Yogyakarta. Latar belakang mengambil penelitian ini yaitu karena adanya beberapa
anak pada kemampuan membaca permulaan belum berkembang sesuai tahap pencapaian perkembangan. Penelitian
ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif metode survei. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 188 anak kelompok
B di TK Gugus Sidomukti Mantrijeron Yogyakarta. Sub variabel penelitian ini yaitu mengenal huruf. Indikator
yang diteliti yaitu mampu membedakan huruf, mampu menyebutkan nama-nama benda yang memiliki suara huruf
awal yang sama, dan mampu menghubungkan gambar atau benda dengan kata. Teknik pengumpulan data yang
digunakan adalah observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data kuantitatif.

Abstract
The objection of this research was to find out children’s early reading skill in Group B Kindergarten
around Sidomukti cluster Mantrijeron sub-district, Yogyakarta. The reason of taking this research is because there
were children whose early reading skill were not yet developed properly based on developmental stage. This
research used descriptive quantitative approach. This research used descriptive quantitative aproach for survey
method. Used as the sample were 188 pupils of group B Kindergarten around Sidomukti cluster Mantrijeron subdistrict,
Yogyakarta. Using recognizing words as the sub variable of this research, the indicator was being able to
distinguish words, able to name things that have same first word’s sounds, and able to connect pictures or things
with words. The data collection technique used in this research was observation and documentation. Also using
quantitative data analysis as the data analysis technique..
