KEMAMPUAN PENYELESAIAN SOAL TEKS EKSPLANASI BERDASARKAN TAKSONOMI THE STRUCTURE OF THE OBSERVED LEARNING OUTCOME PADA SISWA KELAS XI SMA

Abstract



This study aimed to describe the level of ability of class XI SMA in
solving explanatory text based taxonomy of the Structure of the Observed
Learning Outcome (SOLO). This study included a quantitative study with
descriptive approach. The subjects  were students of class XI SMA Negeri 1
Wonosari. The sampling technique using simple random sampling. Data
collection technique used explanatory text comprehension tests. Test the validity
of the instrument using the consideration through rational analysis, while the
reliability test using Cronbach alpha coefficient. The results showed the level of
the students' answers in solving explanatory text SOLO taxonomy based on the
level in the category unistruktural mastered. In multistruktural level, relational and
extended abstract in the category of less mastering. In other words, students are
able to use a single piece of information in response to a question very well.
However, students are not good enough to use more than two information
contained in the text matter, combine separate pieces of information to produce a
settlement, and generating general principles of integrated data that can be applied
to new situations.
