RESEPSI SIWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 1 BOROBUDUR MAGELANG TERHADAP CERPEN ANAK HARIAN KOMPAS MINGGU 2015
Abstract
This study aimed to describe the reception of students to the short stories
of children Kompas Minggu 2015 is based on the building blocks of the story and
describe the horizon of expectation behind the students’ reception in the short
stories of children Kompas Minggu 2015. The study design is experimental
research. The study population were students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Borobudur
Magelang. The sample was 64 students as respondents and 5 short stories Kompas
Minggu. Analysis using descriptive statistics. The validity of the data obtained
through construct validity (expert judgment). The results obtained are as follows.
First, the reception of students to the short stories of children Kompas Minggu 2015
included in the medium category. This can be seen by six indicators, among which
is the theme, plot, characterization, setting, style, and the mandate of the story
(moral). Second, the horizon of expectation students obtained from the
questionnaire responses of the students covered, open questionnaire, and interviews
in the high category. This is influenced by the knowledge, experience, and abilities
of students in response to a short story well enough so that students can meet the
expectations horizon of expectation from the short stories of children Kompas.
