HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PEMANFAATAN PERPUSTAKAAN DENGAN TINGKAT APRESIASI SASTRA PADA SISWA KELAS XI SMA NEGERI SEKABUPATEN KULON PROGO

Abstract

The reserarch aims to know level of using of library by student of
Senior High School grade XI, its knowing for level of  appreciation of literature
and determine the connection between level of using of library with level of
appreciation of literature by students of Senior High School in Kulon Progo
The research is expost facto. The research population were 9 school
than took 3 school as a sample with 165 number of students. Data were collected
by using questionnaire with likert scale and documentation. Analysis method is
using product moment.
Result of the research is. First showed that level of using of library
as many 118  students (71,52%) were in medium category and that level of
appreciation of literature as many 109 student (66,1%) were in medium category.
Based on the researc, student of Senior High School grade XI in Kulon Progo that
interest on level of using of library and level of  appreciation are in medium
category. Second result of the research showed that posirive connection and
significant between level of using of library with level of appreciation of literature
by student of Senior High School grade XI in Kulon Progo. The positive
connection and significant is indicated by correlation coeffiecient (rxy) of 0,514
and value of rcounter  bigger than rtable  by means of N=165 in taraf error up to 5%
(0,514 > 0,159), it means that student are higher using of library so the
appreciation of literature by student are higher too. Hₒ refused and Hₐ accepted
that means there is a connection between using of library with level of
appreciation of literature.
