PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS EKSPOSISI DENGAN STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN INFORMATION CHARTS PADA SISWA KELAS XI REKAYASA PERANGKAT LUNAK (RPL) C SMK NEGERI TEMBARAK KABUPATEN TEMANGGUNG TAHUN AJARAN 2014/2015

Abstract



This study is aimed to improve students’ exposition writing skill on XI
grade students of Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak (RPL) C of SMK Negeri Tembarak,
Temanggung District by using information charts strategy.
This study is an action research. The subject of this study were XI grade
sttudents of  Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak (RPL)  C of  SMK Negeri Tembarak,
Temanggung district which amount to 28 students. This study consists of two
cycles. Each cycle consists of four  stages, they are planning stage,
implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection technique which is
used in this study were observation, field note, interview, questionnaire,
exposition writing test, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed by
using kualitative descriptive analitic technique. Data validity were gotten through
validity (democratic, process, findings, dialogic) and triangulation. Success
criteria of this study can be seen from the change to the remedical, either
concerned to the teachers or the students in process or learning result.
The research findings showed that the implementation of information
charts strategy can improve exposition writing skill either from the process or the
product on XI grade students of  Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak (RPL)  C of  SMK
Negeri Tembarak, Temanggung District. The improvement of process quality can
be seen from the act of the teachers or the students who get the improvement
significantly in learning implementation. In this case, it is showed by the positive
response through the cooperation attitude and enthusiastic which are showed by
the students and the learning condition that going on condusively. Finally, the
process improvement have the positive impact on product improvement. Product
improvement can be seen from the final score improvement of the students’
exposition writing paragraph from the pre-action stage to cycle II stage. The
average of the students’ exposition writing paragraph final score on the pre-action
stage is 63,77. On the cycle I, the average of the students’ exposition writing
paragraph final score have an improvement as 73,10. Then, on the cycle II the
average of the students’ exposition writing paragraph final score have
reimprovement as 81,99. The amount of the average of the exposition paragraph
final score from the pre-action to cycle II is 18,21.
