KEEFEKTIFAN STRATEGI GAMBAR DAN GAMBAR BERBANTUAN MEDIA FOTO SERIAL DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS TEKS CERPEN PADA SISWA KELAS VII SMPN 1 PIYUNGAN BANTUL DIY
Abstract
This study aimed to determine whether there is a significant difference
between students who took the learning by using strategies Picture and Picture
aided media photo series and students who took the learning without using
strategies Picture and Picture aided media photo series writing stories on
students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Piyungan, It also aimed to prove the
effectiveness of the strategy Picture and Picture aided media photo seriess in
learning to write short stories.
This study used a quantitative approach with quasi experimental
method. The research design which used was pretest-posttest control group
design. There are two variable in this study, independent variables in the form
Picture and Picture strategy aided media photo seriess and the dependent
variable of the ability to write short stories. The population in this study were
students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Piyungan. Sampling using cluster random
sampling. Based on the results of the draw, VII-G was set as the control class
and class VII-H as a experiment class. Data collection techniques using test
method, the test was write short stories. Data analysis using t-test. Results of the
normality test showed the data was normal distribution.
T-test results on the posttest showed T count is 2,177 with Db at 51,
obtained p value of 0.034. P value less than 5% (p <0.05). These results
revealed that there were significant differences between the experimental group
who received teaching of writing a short story by using the strategy of media-
assisted Picture and Picture and photo seriess and a control group who received
learning to write short stories without using Picture and Picture strategy aided
media photo series. The increase average value of pretest to posttest
experimental group was 7.3. The control group at 2.89. The increase average
value of the experimental group was higher than the control group. Thereby was
indicated that the strategy of media-assisted Picture and Picture and photo series
more effectively used in learning to write short stories in class VII SMPN 1
Piyungan.
