PELAKSANAAN PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA PADA KELAS XI AGAMA DI SEKOLAH INKLUSIF MAN MAGUWOHARJO DEPOK SLEMAN

Abstract


This research is aimed to describe the implementation of  Bahasa
Indonesia  teaching and learning in the XI grade of religion class in MAN
Maguwoharjo Inclusive School, Depok, Sleman; obstacles during the teaching
and learning process; and the teacher’s efforts to overcome those obstacles. The
teaching and learning process is observed based on learning components which
consists of learning goals, learning source/learning material, learning method,
media, and learning evaluation.
This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of the
research are  Bahasa Indonesia  teachers and the XI graders of religion class in
MAN Maguwoharjo Inclusive School. The object of the study is focused on the
learning process of Bahasa Indonesia, the obstacles in learning, and the teacher’s
efforts to overcome those obstacles. Data are collected through participative
observation technique, interview, field note, and documents. Data analyzing
techniques include data reducing step, data display, and conclusion. Data
validation is found through diligence and triangulation.
The result of the study shows that: first, the implementation of  Bahasa
Indonesia  teaching and learning process in XI graders of religion class in MAN
Maguwoharjo Inclusive School is appropriate with the lesson plans, in which
consists of learning components. The components are learning goals, learning
sources/learning materials, learning methods, media, and learning evaluation.
Basically, the teaching and learning process in this studied school is different with
other common schools. The differences are laid on learning subjects, learning
methods, and learning media which are applied. Second, the obstacles found
during the teaching and learning process are: there is no Braille books specialized
for gifted students, and furthermore, the teachers are not able to understand the
Braille for those students. Third, the efforts which are done by the teachers to
overcome those problems are making use of available learning sources and giving
a chance to the gifted students to download Buku Siswa Elektronik (BSE), and the
teachers asks a special teacher to help translate the braille writing visually
impaired students with disabilities.
