KEEFEKTIFAN PENDEKATAN PROSES BERBANTUAN MEDIA VIDEO UNTUK PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS KARANGAN EKSPOSISI KELAS XI SMK MUHAMMADIYAH 1 TEMANGGUNG

Abstract


The purpose of this research is to know whether there are significant
differences of the exposition text writing skill between the students who are taught by
using Process Approach with video media and the students who are taught
conventionally. It is also  to know the effectiveness of Process Approach with Video
Media for teaching the exposition text writing skill. The process Approach is chosen
since its well structured which manage the students in writing then collaborated with
Video Media in order to easier the students' understanding of the abstract concept into
the concrete.
This research is belongs to quasi experimental research method. The control
group pretest posttest is used as a research design. The population of this research is
the XI grade of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Temanggung. The sampling technique is
using cluster random sampling. Based on the sampling technique used, the 2O2 class
is chosen  as the experimental group and 2O1 class as the control group. The test
technique used is pretest and posttest. The task form of this research is the exposition
text writing form.
To examine this research, the writer use SPSS 16. The technique of analyzing
data used is t-test with statistical significance of 5%. The result of this research shows
that the t-test  random sampling posttest control group analysis and experimental
group get the t-score -2,85 with df 52 and P 0,006 (P < 0,05). The analysis result of t-
test sampling pretest and experimental group posttest,  t =  -9,634 with df 26 and P
0,00 (P  <  0,5).  It can be concluded that there are significant differences of the
students  who are taught by using Process Approach with Video Media and the
students  who are taught conventionally. Process Approach with Video Media is
effective to use as a teaching technique of the exposition text writing skill.
