THE PROCESS OF LEARNING THE PERFORMING ARTS DONGKREK IN YAYASAN LKP SATRIA MANGGALA MADIUN

Abstract
This research aims to describe the process of learning the performing arts
Dongkrek in Yayasan LKP Satria Manggala Madiun. This research used
qualitative approach which is descriptive in nature. The material object of this
research is the performing arts Dongkrek in Yayasan LKP Satria Manggala,
while the formal object is the process of learning the performing arts Dongkrek
in Yayasan LKP Satria Manggala. The subjects of this research are the leader,
treasurer, choreographer, musicians, and students of Yayasan Satria Manggala.
The data for this research were collected through observation, interview, and
documentation. The collected data were analyzed through data reduction, data
presentation, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the data was gained
through source triangulation and triangulation of technique. The findings of this
research were as follows: (1) the performing arts Dongkrek is native to Madiun
Regency. (2) At first, Satria Manggala was an art studio established on 24 April
2005, which later became a training center or LKP (Lembaga Kursus dan
Pelatihan) inaugurated on 20 December 2012, before it was inaugurated as a
foundation in 23 October 2015. The founding father of Satria Manggala is Mr.
Angga Sutria. (3) The used learning method are lecture, demonstration, and
questions and answers. (4) The available facilities are classroom, dance videos,
VCD/DVD, projector, tape recoreder, laptop, television, fan, soundsystem,
microphone, dan dancing properties.
