PERAN MODAL SOSIAL DALAM PERBAIKAN MUTU SEKOLAH DI SMP MUHAMMADIYAH PLUS GUNUNGPRING

Abstrak
Masalah mutu pendidikan di Indonesia masih sangat komplek, perbaikan mutu sekolah masih menjadi suatu hal yang perlu di kaji sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) Strategi yang dilakukan dalam perbaikan mutu sekolah; (2) Peran modal sosial dalam perbaikan mutu sekolah; (3) Faktor penghambat dan pendukung peran modal sosial dalam perbaikan mutu sekolah di SMP Muhammadiyah Plus Gunungpring. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan: observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teori dari Creswell yakni mengolah data, membaca keseluruhan data, meng-coding data, mendeskripsikan tema-tema, dan menginterpretasi data. Keabsahan data menggunakan metode triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian: (1) Strategi yang dilakukan dalam perbaikan mutu sekolah dengan strategi komprehensif; (2) Modal sosial kepercayaan, nilai/norma, jaringan sosial, kerja sama dan partisipasi mendukung dalam perbaikan mutu sekolah; (3) Faktor penghambat: letak sekolah kurang strategis, pemenuhan sarana dan prasarana membutuhkan waktu tidak sebentar, perbedaan generasi para pendidik. Faktor pendukung: wali murid yang melakukan promosi, kesamaan tujuan, memiliki banyak relasi, dan adanya program-program unggulan dari sekolah.

Abstract
The problem of the quality of education in Indonesia is still very complex, improving school quality is still something that needs to be reviewed by schools. This study purposed to describe: (1) Carried out strategies in improving school quality; (2) The role of social capital in improving school quality; (3) Inhibiting and supporting factors of social capital in improving school quality at Gunungpring Muhammadiyah Plus Junior High School. This research is qualitative, study approach. Data collection techniques used by researchers were observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data analysis technique uses the theory of Creswell namely processing data, reading the entire data, coding data, describing themes, and interpreting data. Validity of the data uses the source triangulation method and techniques. The results of the study are as follows: (1) The strategy carried out in improving the quality of school, is a comprehensive strategy; (2) The role of social capital beliefs, values/norms, social networks, cooperation and participation support in improving the quality of schools; (3) The inhibiting factor: the location of the school that less strategic, the fulfillment of facilities and infrastructure takes a long time, and the difference in generations of educators. The supporting factors: student’s guardians (parents) who carry out promotions, goal similarrity, having lot of relations, and the existence of superior programs from the school.
