DEVELOPMENT OF WEB BASED DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM USING SIMPLE ADDITIVE WEIGHTING MOBILE APPLICATION TO FIND VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL ACCORDANCE WITH THE NEEDS OF STUDENTS IN YOGYAKARTA CITY

Abstract


The purposes of this research are: (1) to find solutions to overcome the confusion when students choose Vocational High School and the department, (2) to develop Smart School Finder System (SSFS), a web based decision support system using simple additive weighting mobile application to find vocational high school accordance with the needs of students, and (3) to determine the level of quality of Smart School Finder System (SSFS) application based on functional suitability, compatibility, usability and performance efficiency aspects (ISO 25010). The research method is Research and Development (R&D) and the procedure used in SSFS mobile application development process is the waterfall development procedure through requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing phases. The development testings performed include the testings of functional suitability, compatibility, usability and performance efficiency aspects. The results of this research are as follows: (1) Students' confusion problems when choosing Vocational High School and the department could be resolved by the Smart School Finder System application; (2) Smart School Finder Application System (SSFS) developed with web-based and has some features such as a school searching, school informations, department informations, and a chat forum. The database used in this application is developed using MySQL; (3) This application has met the ISO 25010 quality standards. On functional suitability aspect, this application got a percentage of 100% according to the standard of quality that has been determined by AQuA. On compatibility aspect, it got a percentage of 100%. On the usability aspect, it got a percentage value of 81.33% ("very decent" category) and the Alpha-Cronbach value is 0.822 ("good" category). On performance efficiency aspect, it obtained an average response time of 0.004793 seconds (“very satisfied” category).
