APPLICATION OF PROJECT BASED LEARNING TO IMPROVING ACTIVITY AND MOTIVATION ON SISKOMDIG LESSON AT SMKN 2 KLATEN

Abstract


This study aimed to improve activity and motivation learning through the application of Project Based Learning model for Grade X SIJA A of SMKN 2 Klaten. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) that aims to overcome the problems that exist in class. The subjects of the study were students of class X SIJA A even semester of academic year 2017/2018 which amounted to 36 students. The study was conducted in three cycles and each end of the cycle was a reflection of the action given. Data collection techniques in research using observation sheets, questionnaires, and documentation. Research shows that the implementation of learning by using Project Based Learning model study on the subjects of Simulation and Digital Communications can enhance the activity and student motivation. It can be seen from the activity of students of the first cycle of 71.87% increased in the second cycle of 75.35% and increased also in the third cycle into 76.77%. Motivation of students in the first cycle of 71.86% increased in the second cycle of 74.61% and increased also in the third cycle into 77.44%. Proved that the Project Based Learning instructional model can enhance the activity and motivation of students in subjects Simulation and Digital Communications.
