THE DEVELOPMENT OF WEB-BASED SEMINAR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Abstract

The purpose of this research are: 1) developing a web-based seminar management system; 2) provide knowledge about the level of quality web-based seminar management system on aspects of functionality, efficiency, usability, reliability, and maintainability. The methodology used is Research and Development (R & D) with a waterfall model that refers to the rules of Pressman's software engineering (2010). The steps through which communication, planning, modeling, construction, and deployment. The results of this research are: 1) web-based seminar management system with 7 user level ie administrator, committee, reviewer, main speaker, second speaker, participant, and visitor; 2) the level of quality of web-based seminar management system on aspect of functionality is 100% success function, efficiency aspect obtained Yslow score 94 (grade A), usability aspects obtained raw SUS score of 73.00, reliability aspect with result 100%, and maintainability aspect with result maintainability index 90.81.
