DEVELOPING THE COMPUTER SYSTEM MODULE FOR GRADE ELEVEN AT SMK NEGERI 1 KLATEN

Abstract


The objectives of this research were: (1) to describe the characteristics of appropriate Computer System module for the eleventh graders of Multimedia at SMK Negeri 1 Klaten and (2) to describe the appropriateness of Computer System learning module for the eleventh graders of Multimedia at SMK Negeri 1 Klaten.
The module development process used by this research was ADDE model: analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating. The questionnaires were used to collect data. The subjects of this research were the eleventh graders of Multimedia and the teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Klaten as well as the lecturers of Information Engineering Education as the evaluator. Likert Scale with four various options was used. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics.
The research results showed: (1) the Computer System module as the learning media was developed based on the characteristics needed: (a) using Curriculum 2013, (b) appropriate for the eleventh graders, (c) appropriate for Computer System syllabus, (d) fulfilling the materials aspects, (e) fulfilling the characteristics of module, and (f) fulfilling the elements of module; (2) according to the materials expert, media expert, and respondents, the Computer System module was categorized appropriate as learning media to support the teaching and learning process the eleventh graders of Multimedia at SMK Negeri 1 Klaten. Those two result indicated that the Computer System module was categorized appropriate for learning.
