PEMBELAJARAN PRA MEMBACA BRAILLE PADA SISWA TUNANETRA KELAS I SEKOLAH DASAR DI SLB NEGERI 1 BANTUL

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran pra membaca Braille pada siswa tunanetra kelas I di SLB Negeri 1 Bantul. Penelitian difokuskan pada persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian. Jenis penelitian yaitu deskriptif. Subjek penelitian yaitu guru kelas I. Data dikumpulkan dengan observasi dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif-kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran pra membaca Braille terdiri dari: 1) persiapan pembelajaran meliputi pemilihan media pembelajaran, persiapan sumber bahan ajar/materi, penggunan metode dan pendekatan dalam pembelajaran pra membaca Braille; 2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran: a) kegiatan pendahuluan meliputi guru menyampaikan apersepsi dan tujuan pembelajaran, b) kegiatan inti berisi penyampaian materi yang meliputi pembelajaran keterampilan taktil dan pembelajaran awal huruf Braille. Pembelajaran keterampilan taktil berisi tentang pemahaman fleksibilitas pergelangan tangan, kepekaan jari, dan koordinasi kedua tangan, sedangkan pembelajaran awal Braille berisi tentang pemahaman garis Braille dan huruf Braille, c) kegiatan penutup meliputi review materi dan tanya jawab; 3) penilaian pembelajaran dilakukan melalui dengan tes lisan untuk menilai kemampuan siswa terhadap materi yang telah dipelajari.

Abstract
This study aims to describe Braille prereading learning on grade I blind students in SLB Negeri 1 Bantul. This study were focused on preparation, execution, and assessment. The type of this study is descriptive. The study subject is teacher of grade I. Data were collected by observation and interview. Data analysis that were used is descriptive-qualitative analysis. The result of this study showed that Braille prereading learning consist of : 1) Learning preparation including selection of learning media, preparation the source of teaching materials, use of methods and approaches in Braille pre-reading learning; 2) Learning execution: a) preliminary activities include teachers delivering apperception and learning objectives, b) The core activities contain the delivery of material that includes tactile skills learning and Braille letters early learning. Tactile skill learning contain understanding the flexibility of the wrist, the sensitivity of the fingers, and the coordination of both hands, while Braille's early learning contains an understanding of the Braille line and Braille letters. c) The closing activities include material review and frequently asked questions; 3) assessment of learning is done through oral tests to assess students' ability to the material that they have learned.
