KORELASI ANTARA DUKUNGAN SOSIAL ORANG TUA DENGAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA

Abstrak

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan sosial orang tua dengan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah ex post facto. Subyek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas IV SD Negeri se-Kecamatan Mantrijeron, Yogyakarta yang diambil secara propotional random sampling dengan jumlah 132 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa skala. Uji validitas menggunakan uji validitas isi dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan Cronbach’s Alpha. Adapun analisis data penelitian menggunakan analisis korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara dukungan sosial orang tua dengan motivasi belajar siswa r = 0,657, p < 0,05. Semakin tinggi dukungan sosial orang tua maka semakin tinggin motivasi belajar. Sebaliknya semakin rendah dukungan sosial orang tua maka semakin rendah motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the relationship between parents social support and learning motivation.This study used a quantitative approach. This type of research was ex post facto. The research subjects were Elementary School fourth grade students in the District Mantrijeron, Yogyakarta, which has been taken by proportional random sampling with 132 students. Instruments used in the form of scale. Validity test used content validity and reliability test used  Cronbach's Alpha. The research data analysis used correlation product moment. The results showed that there is a positive relationship between parents social support and learning motivation r = 0.657, p <0.05. The higher the parent social support, the higher learning motivation. Conversely the lower the parents social support, the lower the learning motivation
