PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA MELALUI METODE PEMBELAJARAN GROUP INVESTIGATION KELAS VB

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) melalui metode pembelajaran Group Investigation pada siswa kelas VB SD Negeri Gedongkiwo Kecamatan Mantrijeron Yogyakarta, Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VB SD Negeri Gedongkiwo, Mantrijeron, Yogyakarta sebanyak 21 siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang berisi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan dan pengamatan, dan refleksi. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan metode pembelajaran Group Investigation dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa. Pada pra tindakan terdapat 4 siswa (19,04%) yang mencapai KKM. Pada siklus I sebanyak 11 siswa (57,13%) telah mencapai KKM. Pada siklus II sebanyak 19 siswa (90,47%) telah mencapai KKM.

Abstract

This research aims to improve Sciences learning outcomes through the Group Investigation method in Class VB Gedongkiwo Elementary School. The type of this research was classroom action research. The subjects of this research were 21 students of class VB. The research design used in this research was that of Kemmis & Mc. Taggart which contained planning, action and observation, and reflection phase. The data was collected through tests and observations. The data analysis method was done using qualitative and quantitative descriptive. The results show that Group Investigation method can improve students’ science learning outcomes. There were 4 students (19.04%) who have fulfilled the minimum criteria of mastery learning (KKM) in pre-action. On cycle I there were 11 students (57.13%) who have fulfilled the KKM. On cycle II there are 19 students (90.47%) who fulfilled the KKM.
