PENGARUH KEMAMPUAN EMPATI TERHADAP PERILAKU PROSOSIAL SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan empati terhadap perilaku prososial siswa kelas V SD Negeri Se-Gugus IV Kasihan Bantul. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif jenis korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD negeri se-Gugus IV Kasihan Bantul yang berjumlah 228 siswa dan jumlah sampel sebesar 146 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala kemampuan empati dan skala perilaku prososial. Uji validitas instrumen menggunakan expert judgment, sedangkan uji reliabilitas menggunakan koefisien reliabilitas cronbach alfa. Analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara kemampuan empati terhadap perilaku prososial siswa kelas V SD Negeri se-gugus IV Kasihan Bantul Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dengan nilai Fhitung sebesar 35,014 (p<0,05). R square sebesar 0,196 yang berarti bahwa sumbangan kemampuan empati terhadap perilaku prososial sebesar 19,6% dan sisanya 80,4% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain.

Abstract

This research aims at finding out the effect of empathy ability toward prosocial behavior of fifth grade students in elementary school region IV of Kasihan Bantul. The research method used quantitative approach correlational type. This research population were all of fifth grade students in elementary school region IV of Kasihan Bantul, amounting to 228 students and the sample were 146 students. Research instruments used scale of empathy ability and scale of prosocial behavior. The validity test of the instruments used expert judgment while the reliability test used the reliability coefficient of cronbach alpha. The data analysis used regression analysis. The result of the research shows that there is a positive and significant influence between the empathy ability toward prosocial behavior with the F count 35,014 (p<0,05). For the R square is 0,196 means that the empathy ability contributed 19,6% toward prosocial behavior, and the rest, 80,4% was influenced by another variables.
