UPAYA MENINGKATKAN MINAT BELAJAR SISWA MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA GAMBAR DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPA KELAS IV SD

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa kelas IV SD Krapyak Wetan dengan menggunakan media gambar dalam pembelajaran IPA. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), berkolaborasi dengan guru kelas IV. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV dengan objek penelitian minat belajar menggunakan media gambar pada siswa kelas IV. Teknik Observasi digunakan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data untuk mengetahui minat belajar siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif presentase pada minat belajar siswa. Hasil analisis minat belajar siswa pada observasi awal adalah 50%. Tindakan Siklus I memberikan peningkatan minat belajar menjadi 65,5%, namun masih belum mencapai kriteria ketuntasan sebesar 75%. Hasil dari Siklus II adalah peningkatan minat belajar siswa sebesar 85,5%, sehingga bisa dinyatakan telah mencapai kriteria ketuntasan dalam penelitian ini. Dari data hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar dalam pembelajaran IPA kelas IV di SD Krapyak Wetan dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to increase the learning interest of the fourth grade students of Krapyak Wetan Elementary School using the picture as the media in science learning. The type of the research was classroom action research (PTK) being collaborated with teacher of the fourth gradel. The subject of the research was students from the fourth grade. The object of the research was the learning interest from the fourth grade students using picture as the media. The observation technique used to gathering the data to figure out the data about the students’ learning interest. The data analysis in this research applied percentage of interest. The result of the analysis of students learning interest in earlier condition was 50%. First cycle action was conducted, students’s learning interest increased to 65.5%, but still not reach 75% as completeness criteria. Result of Second cycle action was students’s learning interest got increased to 85.5%. Based on the research of the first and second cycle, it can be concluded that using picture as the media in the science learning in fourth grade of Krapyak Wetan Elementary School can increase the students’ learning interest.
