MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENYELESAIKAN SOAL CERITA MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS V SDN MEJING 2 MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika siswa kelas V
Sekolah Dasar Negeri Mejing 2, Gamping Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015 melalui model pembelajaran Creative Problem
Solving. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V Sekolah
Dasar Negeri Mejing 2, Gamping yang berjumlah 30 siswa, terdiri dari 9 siswa putra dan 21 siswa putri. Objek
penelitian adalah kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dari observasi
dan tes hasil belajar. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun
kriteria keberhasilan penelitian tersebut ditandai dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata kelas ≥ 65 dan minimal 75% dari
jumlah siswa mencapai KKM (65).Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Creative
Problem Solving dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika siswa kelas V SD Negeri
Mejing 2, Gamping. Peningkatan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika ditunjukkan oleh hasil tes.
Pada pratindakan terdapat 30% (9 siswa) dari jumlah 30 siswa yang mencapai KKM. Hasil tes pada siklus 1
menunjukkan ada 63,33% (19 siswa) dari jumlah siswa yang mencapai KKM, sedangkan pada siklus 2 terdapat
76,67% (23 siswa) dari jumlah siswa yang mencapai KKM. Nilai rata-rata sebelum siklus sebesar 53,67, sedangkan
pada akhir siklus 1 nilai rata-rata tes sebesar 64,27, dan pada akhir siklus 2 sebesar 68,07.

Abstract
This study aims to improve skill in solving mathematic word problem to fifth grade in SDN Mejing 2 Gamping
trough Creative Problem Solving model. This type of research is a classroom action research. The subjects were
students of fifth grade in SDN Mejing 2 Gamping, amounting to 30 students, consisting of 9 males and 21 females.
The object of research is the ability to solve mathematic word problems. Data were obtained from observations and
test results of learning. Data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The criteria for
the success of the research is characterized by the acquisition value of the average grade ≥ 65 and a minimum of
75% of the number of students reached KKM (65). The results showed that the use Creative Problem Solving
learning model can improve the ability to solve math word problems fifth grade students SDN Mejing 2, Gamping.
Increased ability to solve math word problems shown by the results of the test. In preaction contained 30% (9
students) of the 30 students who achieve KKM. The results of tests on cycle 1 showed no 63.33% (19 students) of
the number of students who reach the KKM, while the second cycle are 76.67% (23 students) of the number of
students who reach the KKM. The average value before the cycle of 53.67, whereas at the end of cycle 1 the
average test score of 64.27, and at the end of cycle 2 at 68.07.
