KEEFEKTIFAN PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES TERHADAP MINAT BELAJAR IPA SISWA KELAS IV SDN GOLO

Abstract



Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses IPA
terhadap minat belajar siswa kelas IV SDN Golo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan
desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IVA dan IVB SDN Golo
dengan jumlah siswa tiap kelasnya adalah 28 orang. Kelas IVA sebagai kelompok eksperimen diberi perlakuan
berupa penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses, sedangkan kelas IVB sebagai kelompok kontrol diberikan
pembelajaran yang biasa dilakukan guru, yaitu menggunakan metode ceramah, tanya jawab, atau diskusi. Teknik
pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan skala. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan membandingkan nilai
rata-rata yang diperoleh dari hasil skala minat belajar akhir (post test) dan hasil observasi minat belajar antara
kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata hasil skala minat
belajar akhir siswa (post test) dan hasil observasi minat belajar dari pertemuan pertama sampai pertemuan keempat
pada kelompok eksperimen lebih besar daripada nilai rata-rata pada kelompok kontrol. Berdasarkan hal tersebut,
maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan keterampilan proses dalam pembelajaran IPA lebih efektif
terhadap minat belajar siswa kelas IV SDN Golo.

Abstract
This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of the application of science process skills approach to
students’ interest of class IV SDN Golo. This research was a quasi-experimental research with Nonequivalent
Control Group Design. The subjects were students of class IVA and IVB SDN Golo with the number of students per
class were 28 people. Class IVA as the experimental group were treated in a form of the application of process
skills approach, while class IVB as the control group was given the usual lesson, using the method of lecture,
question and answer, or discussion. Data collection technique used observation and scale. Hypothesis testing was
done by comparing the average value obtained from the final result of learning interest scale (post-test) with the
observation result of student interest between the experimental group and the control group. The results showed
that the average value of the final results of the students' learning interest scale (post-test) and the observation
result of learning interest from the first meeting until the fourth meeting of the experimental group was greater than
the average value in the control group. Based on this, it can be concluded that the application of science process
skills approach is more effective to students’ interest of class IV SDN Golo.
