PERBEDAAN EFEKTIVITAS METODE TALKING STICK DAN METODE CERAMAH TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPS KELAS V

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan efektivitas metode talking stick dan metode ceramah terhadap hasil belajar IPS kelas V SD Negeri Sompokan. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif
dengan quasi experimental nonequivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Negeri Sompokan yaitu kelas VA 28 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol dan kelas VB 26 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tes dan observasi. Instrumen
penelitian menggunakan tes dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan uji t. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu rata-rata hasil posttest kelompok eksperimen 71.41 lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol 55.00. Hasil uji t dengan SPSS Statistics 20 diperoleh t hitung= 3.403 > t tabel = 2.01 dan signifikansi hitung = 0.001 < 0.05. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan efektivitas metode talking stick dan metode ceramah terhadap hasil belajar IPS kelas V SD Negeri Sompokan.

Abstract

This research aims at determining differences effectiveness of the talking stick and lecture method to the results of social studies of class V SD Negeri Sompokan. This research method was quantitative with quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. The research population were all students of class V SDN Sompokan, a class VA totalling 28 students as a control group and a class VB totalling 26 students as the experimental group. Data collection techniques used observation and tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and t-test. The results of this research show that the average yield of 71.41 posttest experimental group is higher than the control group 55.00. The results of t-test with SPSS Statistics 20 obtained t count = 3,403> t table = 2.01 and significance count = 0.001> 0.05. It can be conclude that there are differences in the effectiveness of the talking stick and lecture method to the results of social studies class V SD Negeri Sompokan.
