HUBUNGAN RESPON SISWA TERHADAP TUGAS DENGAN KEMAMPUAN MEMECAHKAN SOAL MATEMATIKA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan respon siswa terhadap tugas yang diterima dengan kemampuan memecahkan soal matematika kelas IV Sekolah Dasar se-Gugus 2 Kecamatan Pengasih. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian expos facto. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan tes. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV berjumlah 183 siswa dengan sampel 119 siswa. Teknik analisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji linearitas, serta analisis data menggunakan uji regresi sederhana. Tingkat respon siswa dalam kategori sedang yaitu sebesar 32,8%, dan tingkat kemampuan siswa dalam kategori sedang sebesar 40,3%. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukan terdapat hubungan antara respon siswa dengan kemampuan memecahkan soal matematika. Hal tersebut ditunjukan oleh koefisien determinan (R²) sebesar 0,092 yang berarti bahwa respon siswa berhubungan dengan kemampuan memecahkan soal matematika sebesar 9.2%.

Abstract

          The purpose of this research is to determine the correlation of student’s response ttoward assignment with the mathematics problem-solving ability at the 4th grade of elementary school Gugus 2 Pengasih. This research used quantitative approach with expost facto research type. Data collection techniques used questionnaire and test method. The population in this research is all fourth grade students totaling 181 students with 119 samples students. The analysis techniques that had been used is the normality test, the linearity test, and the analysis data using simple regression test. The student’s response rate shows is in a medium category with the percentage of 32.8% and the student’s mathematic problem-solving ability is in the medium category with the percentage of 40,3%. The hypothesis test result shown that there is a correlation between the student’s response to the received assignment with the mathematics problem-solving ability. It is shows by the determinant coefficient (R2) by 0.092, which means that the students' responses related to the mathematics problem-solving ability by 9.2%.
