Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses dan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IV SDN Minomartani 1 Ngaglik Sleman melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Quantum Teaching. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah 19 siswa kelas IV. Desain penelitian menggunakan model Kemmis dan McTaggart. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi dan tes. Data dianalisis dengan deskriptif kualitatif dan
kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan proses dan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IV melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Quantum Teaching. Proses ditinjau dari langkah model pembelajaran Quantum Teaching, sedangkan hasil belajar ditinjau dari ketuntasan belajar. Siswa menjadi lebih aktif dan lebih berminat dalam pembelajaran IPS. Siswa sudah berani ketika menyampaikan pendapat dan melakukan presentasi. Ketuntasan belajar IPS pada pra tindakan sebesar 42,11%, siklus I meningkat menjadi 68,42%, dan siklus II meningkat menjadi 89,47%.

Abstract

This research aims at improving process and learning results of social studies of fourth grade students in SDN Minomartani 1 Ngaglik Sleman through the application of Quantum Teaching model. This research was a classroom action research. The subjects were 19 students of fourth grade. The design of the research used Kemmis and McTaggart model. The techniques to collect the data used observation and test. Data were analyzed by qualitative and quantitative deskriptives. The results show that there is an increase on the process and learning result in social studies of fourth grade students through the application of Quantum Teaching model. The process is observed through the step of Quantum Teaching model, while learning results is observed through the completeness of learning. Students become more active and more interest in learning social studies. Students have the courage when giving idea and doing presentations. Mastery learning of social studies on a pre-action amounted to 42.11%, the first cycle increase to 68.42%, and the second cycle increase to 89.47%.
