Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter demokratis di kelas IV A SD Negeri I Jampiroso Temanggung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis model interaktif Miles & Huberman (reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan). Uji keabsahan menggunakan triangulasi sumber, triangulasi teknik dan cross check. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penanaman pendidikan karakter demokratis dalam aspek pengembangan diri dapat dilihat dalam kegiatan rutin, kegiatan spontan, keteladanan, dan pengkondisian. Dalam aspek pembelajaran, guru mencantumkan nilai karakter demokratis dalam silabus dan RPP, menggunakan metodologi yang memungkinkan siswa menginternalisasi nilai karakter, siswa diberi kesempatan menyajikan hasil pekerjaannya, dan evaluasi dilakukan dua arah. Dalam aspek budaya kelas guru menciptakan iklim kelas yang mencerminkan karakter demokratis.

Abstract

This research aims at describing the internalization of democratic character education at 4th grade students SD Negeri I Jampiroso Temanggung. This research was a qualitative descriptive study. This research used data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analytic used Miles & Huberman interactive model as the analytic technique (data reduction, data display, and conclusion). The validity test used triangulation technique, triangulation resources, and cross check. The result showed that the internalization of democratis character education in developing of self aspect could be seen in routin activities, spontaneous activities, exemplary, and conditioned. In the learning process, teacher included values of democratic character in syllabus and RPP, used methodology who enable students to internalization the values of democratic character, the students get opportunity to showed their result, and the evaluation by two direction. In the class culture, teacher created class climate which is reflected of democratic character.
