Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan layanan pendidikan bagi siswa slow learner oleh guru di kelas III SD Negeri Kalimenur. Layanan pendidikan yang dimaksud meliputi pemahaman guru mengenai layanan pendidikan yang dibutuhkan siswa slow learner, penanganan khusus bagi siswa slow learner, modifikasi alokasi waktu, modifikasi isi atau materi, dan modifikasi proses belajar mengajar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskripstif. Subjek penelitiannya adalah guru kelas III. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data diuji dengan triangulasi teknik dan triangulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru belum memberikan layanan pendidikan bagi siswa slow learner secara penuh. Guru belum memahami secara penuh layanan pendidikan khusus yang dibutuhkan bagi siswa slow learner. Layanan pendidikan yang telah diberikan guru bagi siswa slow learner adalah dalam hal pemberian penanganan khusus, modifikasi alokasi waktu, dan modifikasi proses belajar mengajar.

Abstract

This research aims to describe education service for slow learner by the classroom teacher in grade III of SDN Kalimenur. That education service included a knowledge of classroom teacher about special education service which are needed slow learner, special handling for slow learner, modified time allocation, modified content, modiefied teaching and learning process. This research used qualitative approach with descriptive type. The research subject was the teacher of grade III. The data collecting included observation, interview, and documentation. The data validation used source triangulation. The data analysis included data reduction, display data, and conclution drawing. The result of this research shows the classroom teacher have not been providing full education service for slow learner. The classroom teacher do not understand what kind of education service required by the slow learner. The education service provided by the classroom teacher for slow learner are giving special treatment, modified time allocation, modiefied teaching and learning process.
