PENINGKATKAN KUALITAS PEMBELAJARAN IPS DENGAN MODEL MAKE A MATCH DI KELAS IVA SDN DEMAKIJO 1

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPS melalui model pembelajaran
kooperatif tipe Make a Match pada siswa kelas IVA SD Negeri Demakijo 1 Sleman Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian
ini adalah PTK, model spiral Kemmis dan Taggart. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IVA. Teknik pengumpulan
data berupa tes hasil belajar dan lembar observasi. Tes digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data hasil belajar kognitif
siswa, sedangkan lembar observasi digunakan untuk memperoleh gambaran aktivitas siswa serta implementasi guru
dalam proses pembelajaran IPS menggunakan Make a Match. Peningkatan proses pembelajaran ditunjukkan oleh
siswa yang lebih aktif, komunikatif serta suasana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Hasil belajar ditunjukkan
dengan persentase ketuntasan pada pratindakan 27,23%, siklus I pertemuan pertama 57,58%, siklus I pertemuan
kedua 72,27%, siklus II pertemuan pertama 87,88% dan siklus II pertemuan kedua 90,90%.
Kata kunci : Kualitas pembelajaran, IPS, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match.


Abstract
The aim of this research was to improve the social studies learing quality through cooperative learning
model with Make a Match type in fourth grade students of class IVA SDN Demakijo 1 Sleman Yogyakarta. This
research use classroom action research, Kemmis and Taggart spiral model and the subject was fourth grade
student of class IVA. The data collection techniques used achievement test and observation sheets. The
achievement test used to collect data cognitive learning outcomes of students, while the observation sheets were
used to describe the student activities and the teacher’s implementation in teaching learning process of social
studies using Make a Match. The improvement of the learning process was shown by the students that more,
active, comunicative, and fun learning. The learning outcomes showed as a percentage of completeness at the
preaction of completeness at the preaction is 27,23%, 57,58% at the first meeting of the first cycle, 72,27% at the
second meeting of the first cycle, 87,88% at the first meeting of the second cycle, and 90,90% at second meeting of
the second cycle.
