Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan upaya, faktor pendukung, dan penghambat guru dalam membina kerjasama dengan orang tua guna membentuk karakter disiplin siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data yang digunakan adalah teknik member check dan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan upaya yang dilakukan guru dalam membina kerjasama dengan orang tua, meliputi: mendirikan perkumpulan, melakukan sosialisasi pendidikan karakter, melibatkan orang tua dalam perencanaan pendidikan karakter, membuat kesepakatan tentang kedisiplinan, membuat kesepakatan untuk memerangi dampak penggunaan media pada anak, membuat program untuk orang tua, menerima kritik dan saran, menggunakan sarana prasarana sekolah, menyediakan pusat bantuan keluarga, dan kunjungan ke rumah orang tua. Faktor pendukung upaya guru yaitu keterlibatan orang tua serta tersedianya sarana prasarana di sekolah, sedangkan faktor penghambatnya yaitu kurangnya kesadaran orang tua, komunikasi antara orang tua dan guru, serta orang tua belum bisa meluangkan waktunya.

Abstract
This study aims to describe the effort, supporting and inhibiting factors of the teachers in cultivate cooperation with parents in order to establish the discipline character of student. Data collection technique used observation, interview, and documentation. Data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Validity test of the data used member check and triangulation techniques. The result shows that the efforts of teacher in cultivate cooperation with parents are establishing associations, socializing character education, involving parents in planning character education, making a deal about discipline, making a deal to combat the effects of media to the children, making programs for the parents, accepting criticism and suggestions, using school’s infrastructure and facilities, providing family assistance centers, and teacher’s home visit. Supporting factor of the teachers’ efforts are parent involvement, and the availability of infrastructure in school, while the inhibiting factor are the lack of parents’ awareness, communication between parents and teachers, and the parents had not been able to take the time.
