PENGARUH PENDEKATAN CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING (CTL) TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS IV MIN TEMPEL 2011/2012

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap hasil belajar IPS. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kuantitatif, yaitu penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pretest-Posttest Control Group Desain. Teknik analisis data penelitian menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas IV A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan IV B sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan observasi. Kesahihan dan kepercayaan instrumen penelitian ini diperoleh melalui validasi Point Biserial, reliabilitas š¾š‘…21, daya beda, dan indeks kesukaran. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif hasil belajar IPS siswa setelah diterapkannya pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). Hal tersebutĀ  dapat dilihat dari rata-rata hasil posttest siswa pada kelas eksperimen adalah 85,31 lebih tinggi dari rata-rata kelompok kontrol 75,16 Keberartian perbedaan diuji dengan menggunkan uji t, hasil dari uji t menunjukkan bahwa nilai t sebesar 0,493 dengan signifikasi t sebesar 0,000. Nilai t ini kurang dari 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05).

Abstract

The research was aimed to know the influence of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach toward the result of social studies. The research included quantitative research, it was experiment research. The research design that used was Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The technique of data analysis that used was descriptive quantitative analysis. Sample of the research were students of IV A grade as experiment class and students of IV B grade as control class. The technique collecting data of the research were test and observation. Here, the researcher used validaty Point Biserial, reliability KR21, validity, and level of difficulty to validate the instrument. The result of the research showed that Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach had positive influence in the result of studentsā€™ social studies. It was saw from the mean of the experiment class posttest result was high (85.31) than the result of control class (75.16). To validity the result, the researcher used t-test, the result of t-test showed that price of t was 0.493 by the signification of t was 0.000. The price of t was less of 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05).
