PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA MENULIS PERMULAAN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL QUANTUM TEACHING SISWA KELAS II SD GEMBONGAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran membaca menulis permulaan dan meningkatkan kemampuan membaca menulis permulaan. Penelitian ini merupakan Tindakan Kelas kolaboratif menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Gembongan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas II yang terdiri dari 28 siswa. Objek penelitian yakni kemampuan membaca menulis permulaan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Data kualitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model Quantum Teaching dalam pembelajaran membaca menulis permulaan dapat meningkatkan proses pembelajaran membaca menulis permulaan dan meningkatkan kemampuan membaca menulis permulaan siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya persentase aktivitas siswa (awal 34%, siklus I 67,72% siklus II 75,89%) dan meningkatnya kemampuan membaca menulis permulaan (rerata nilai awal 53,46, rerata nilai pada siklus I 69,22 dan rerata nilai siklus II 81,89).

Abstract

This research aimed to improve process of beginning reading writing, and improve beginning reading writing ability. This research was collaborative classroom action research using model of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. This research had implemented in SD Neger Gembongan. The subjects were students of class two which were consisting of 28 students. The object was beginning reading writing ability. Techniques of collecting data did with observation, test, and documentation. Quantitative data analyzed used quantitative description. Qualitative data analyzed used qualitative description. The results of research showed that used of Quantum Teaching model within beginning reading writing learning could improved learning process of beginning reading writing and improved the beginning reading writing ability. This was evidenced by the rising of students activity (first 34%, cycle I 67,72% and cycle II 75,89%) and the rising of beginning reading writing ability (averages score, first 53,46, cycle I 69,22, and cycle II 81,89).
