PENINGKATAN KEAKTIFAN BELAJAR IPA DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN QUANTUM TEACHING

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar IPA pada siswa kelas IV A SD Negeri Panggang Sedayu dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran quantum teaching. Jenis penelitan yang dilakukan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah model Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart yang terdapat tiga tahapan, yaitu (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan dan pengamatan, dan (3) refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi keaktifan belajar IPA, lembar observasi (keterlaksanaan pembelajaran) model quantum teaching, dan angket keaktifan belajar IPA. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Panggang yang berjumlah 27 siswa. Kriteria keberhasilan tindakan dalam penelitian ini adalah ≥75% siswa mendapatkan keaktifan belajar IPA dengan kategori tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, pencapaian keaktifan belajar IPA meningkat dari siklus I ke siklus II yaitu dari 73,04% menjadi 81,63%. Peningkatan pada siklus II tersebut karena adanya perbaikan dari kekurangan di siklus I.

Abstract

The research aims to improve the activeness of learning science of grade IV A Panggang State Elementary School by applying quantum teaching model. The method used in this research was classroom action research (CAR). The CAR design used for this research was Kemmis and McTaggart’s model, that were three stages (1) planning, (2) acting and observing, and (3) reflecting. The instruments which were used in this research are observation sheets of learning science activeness, observation sheet of (lesson progress) quantum teaching model design, and questionnaires on the activeness of learning science . The data analysis technique is quantitative descriptive. The subjects of this research were student of fourth graders Panggang State Elementary School which consisted of 27 students. The criteria for the success of the action in this study is ≥75% of students get the high category in activeness of learning science. The result of this research shows that the achievement of science learning activeness increased from cycle I to cycle II that is from 73,04% to 81,63%. Increasing in cycle II was due to improvements from the lack of cycle I.
