PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NUMBERED HEADS TOGETHER (NHT) TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN BELAJAR IPS

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) terhadap pemahaman belajar IPS di kelas V SD Negeri 5 Wates. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Eksperimental dengan jenis Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SDN 5 Wates sebagai kelas eksperimen (26 siswa) dan kelas V SDN Beji sebagai kelas kontrol (26 siswa). Pengumpulan data melalui lembar observasi, tes, serta dokumentasi. Validitas instrumen dilakukan melalui expert judgement. Data dianalisis dan dideskripsikan menggunakan statistik deskriptif meliputi Uji Mean dan Uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) terhadap pemahaman belajar IPS tentang peristiwa seputar kemerdekaan Indonesia kelas V SD Negeri 5 Wates. Hal ini dibuktikan dari uji mean nilai posttest kelompok eksperimen yaitu 75,33 berada pada kategori hasil belajar cukup, lebih tinggi satu tingkat dari rata-rata nilai posttest kelompok kontrol yaitu 60,12 yang berada pada kategori hasil belajar kurang. Didukung dari hasil uji N-Gain kelompok eksperimen lebih besar dari kelompok kontrol yaitu sebesar 0,56>0,29.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the influence of cooperative learning model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type to learning comprehension of social studies 5th Grade SDN 5 Wates. This research used experimental research, design with nonequivalent control group design’s type. The subject were 26 students in class V SDN 5 Wates as the the main experiment subjects and 26 students in class V SDN Beji as the subjects of control. The data collected through sheet of observation, test, and documentation. The instrument was validated through expert judgement. The data analyzed and described by descriptive statistic analysis, with mean test of posttest between the experiment and control group, and with N-Gain test. The result shows that there is an influence of cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type to learning comprehension of social studies 5th Grade Class SDN 5 Wates. This shown by the mean value of experimental group’s is 75,33 on categorized enough level of the learning result category and it is higher than the mean value of control group’s posttest is 60,12 which is categorized on less level. The result of N-Gain test from experimental group is bigger than control group, there is 0,56>0,29.
