PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR IPS MELALUI MODEL TGT (TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT) PADA SISWA KELAS IV

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar IPS menggunakan model pembelajaran TGT (Teams Games Tournament). Jenis penelitian Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subyek penelitian adalah siswa SD kelas IV. Teknik analisis data adalah dekriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pra siklus jumlah siswa dengan klasifikasi motivasi belajar skor tinggi hanya 47%. Lalu pada siklus I motivasi belajar siswa kelas IVB yang mencapai kriteria keberhasilan meningkat menjadi 68%, sedangkan hasil akhir siklus II motivasi belajar siswa kelas yang mencapai kriteria keberhasilan telah mencapai 94%, sehingga pada siklus II motivasi kelas sudah mencapai kriteria keberhasilan yang ditetapkan yaitu sebanyak ≥75% jumlah siswa yang hadir mencapai skor skala dengan klasifikasi tinggi.

Abstract

The research aims to knowing the improvement of learning motivation in social studies throught TGT (Teams Games Tournament) learning model. The type of this research was classroom action research (CAR). The subjects were students grade IV. Technique of data collection used scale and the data analysis used quantitative descrptive technique. The result of pre-action, shows that students who classified as highly motivated students only 47%. Then, the learning motivation that reach the goal increased to 68% in the first cycle, meanwhile the final result of the second cycle became 94% for the learning motivation that reach the goal. Thus, the learning motivation has been reached the criteria of the research specially ≥75 of the students got questionnaire score with high classification.
