PENGARUH KECERDASAN EMOSI TERHADAP KEDISIPLINAN DI SEKOLAH PADA SISWA KELAS V SD

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) tingkat kecerdasan emosi pada siswa kelas V SD, 2) tingkat kedisiplinan pada siswa kelas V SD, dan 3) Pengaruh kecerdasan emosi terhadap kedisiplinan di sekolah pada siswa kelas V SD. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif ex-post facto. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) tingkat kecerdasan emosi siswa kelas V berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase sebesar 66,1%; 2) tingkat kedisiplinan di sekolah siswa kelas V SD berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase sebesar 67,8%; 3) kecerdasan emosi berpengaruh positif terhadap kedisiplinan di sekolah pada siswa kelas V SD, dibuktikan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,632. Kecerdasan emosi memberikan sumbangan sebesar 40% terhadap kedisiplinan di sekolah, sedangan 60% lainnya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

The aims of this research was to investigate about: 1) the level of emotional intelligence in grade V students of elementary school, 2) the levels of discipline in grade V students of elementary school, and 3) the effects of emotional intelligence on discipline in grade V students of. The kind of this research was ex-post facto. Subject of this research was 124 students. The testing of hypothesis used simple linear regression, The results of this study showed: 1) the level of emotional intelligence in grade V students were on medium category with a percentage of 66,1%; 2) the level of discipline in grade V students of elementary school were on medium category with a percentage of 67,8%; and 3) emotional intelligence had a positive on discipline in school for grade V elementary school students, is indicated by the results of the correlation value of 0,632. Emotional intelligence contributes 40% to discipline in school, while 60% is influenced by other factors no examined in this study.
