PENGARUH PENGELOLAAN PERPUSTAKAAN SEKOLAH TERHADAP MINAT BACA SISWA KELAS IV

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengelolaan perpustakaan sekolah terhadap minat baca siswa Sekolah Dasar kelas IV se-gugus 4 Kecamatan Wates, Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif. Dengan jenis penelitian ex-postfacto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas IV se-gugus 4 Wates yang berjumlah 244. Sampel diambil menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling sehingga diperoleh sampel berjumlah 155. Metode untuk pengambilan data menggunakan kuisioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Pegujian hipotesis mengunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil Penelitian yang diolah meggunakan uji regresi sederhana menunjukan bahwa pengelolaan perpustakaan sekolah berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat baca siswa, hal ini ditunjukan dengan nilai signifikansi kurang dari 0,05 dengan persamaan regresi Y = 11,655 + 0,356X. Sehingga hipotesis diterima bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan pengelolaan perpustakaan sekolah terhadap minat baca.

Abstract
This research aims at determining the effect of school library management toward the 4th grade students’ reading interest in elementary school at cluster 4 District Wates, Kulon Progo Regency. The research method used  quantitative with ex-postfacto research type. The population were 4th grade students in elementary school at cluster 4 Wates regency  which amounted to 244 students. Samples were taken using proportional random sampling technique and the samples were 155 students. The method used questionnaires that have been tested on validity and reliability. The hypothesis test used simple regression analysis. The results shows that the school library management has a significant effect to students' reading interest, it is shown with the sig value less than 0.05 with the regression equation     Y = 11,655 + 0,356X. So the hypothesis is accepted that there is a significant influence of school library management to the 4th grade students’ reading interest.
