IDENTIFIKASI FAKTOR PENYEBAB SISWA KURANG PERCAYA DIRI DI SD NEGERI 2 WATES

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor penyebab siswa kurang percaya diri di SD Negeri 2 Wates. Penelitian ini di latarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kepercayaan diri yang dialami oleh AY. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subyek penelitian adalah salah satu siswa (AY) kelas III yang memiliki percaya diri kurang di SD Negeri 2 Wates. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru kelas III, guru mata pelajaran, orang tua siswa, dan siswa lain sebagai teman. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan study dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teriangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa faktor penyebab AY kurang percaya diri antara lain: (1) AY tidak mendapat contoh sikap positif dari guru kelas dua yang memarahinya saat AY tidak mengerjakan PR.(2) Ibu AY terlalu memberikan perhatian dan dukungan terlalu berlebihan sehingga membuat AY bergantung pada ibunya saat disekolah. (3) AY tidak merasa nyaman saat berada disekolah AY takut dengan temannya dan kurang bebas saat di sekolah. (4) AY tidak yakin dan takut salah untuk menyampaikan jawaban saat tugas kelompok. Jadi faktor penyebab AY kurang percaya diri adalah pernah mendapatkan model peran negatif, hubungan dengan keluarga yang terlalu dimanja, tidak merasa nyaman saat di sekolah, tidak yakin dengan kemampuan pribadi.

Abstract

This study aims to identify factors that cause  the lack confidence of Wates 2 Elementary School. The research was motivated by the lack of confidence ofAY. The type of research is qualitative descriptive. The research’s subjects was one of the class III students (AY) who had less self-confidence at Wates 2 Elementary School. Informants in this study were class III teachers, subject teachers, parents of students, and other students as friends. Data collection teqniques in this study used observation, interviews and documentation study. Data analysis techniques in this study were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion.  Validity test of the data used source triangulation and manipulated techniques. The results showed that the causes of AY’s lacked confidence are: (1) AY did not get an example of a positive attitude from a second grade teacher who scolded her when AY did not do homework. (2) AY's mother is too overly attentive and supportive, making AY depend on her mother while at school. (3) AY does not feel comfortable while in school because AY is afraid of her friends and less free when she is in school. (4) AY was not sure andbe afraid of being wrong to convey answers during group discussion. So the reason for AY's lack of confidence are  she got a negative role model, a relationship with a family that is too spoiled, she does not feel comfortable at school, she is unsure of personal abilities.
