MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA FLASH CARD PADA SISWA KELAS VB

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS menggunakan media flash card. Penelitian dilakukan di SD Muhammadiyah Sangonan IV Godean Sleman. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan model Kemmis dan MC Taggart. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VB. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes dan lembar observasi. Tes untuk memperoleh data hasil belajar kognitif siswa, sedangkan lembar observasi untuk mengumpulkan hasil pengamatan aktivitas siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan media flash card dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS. Pada pelaksanaan pratindakan persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 20%, sedangkan siswa yang belum tuntas 80%. Pada siklus I ketuntasan belajar meningkat menjadi 47% dan siswa yang belum tuntas 53%. Pada siklus II ketuntasan belajar mencapai 77 dan siswa yang belum tuntas 23%.

Abstract

This research aims at improving the students learning outcome in the Social Studies. It was done in Muhammadiyah Sangonan IV elementary school Godean Sleman. This research was an action research using Kemmis and MC Taggart design. The subject were students of class IVB. The data were collected by having tests and observations. The tests were to gain the data of the students cognitive learning outcome while the observations done by fulfilling observation sheets were to collect the data of the students’ activities. The results of the research show that implementing flash card media can improve the students’ learning outcome in the Social Studies. In the pre-action, 20% of the students had passed the standard of achievement while the other 80% had not. In cycle I, 47% of the students had passed the standard of achievement while the other 53% students had not. In cycle II, the percentage of the students having passed the standard of achievement reached 77% while the other 23% students had not.
