PENERAPAN PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF STAD UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS V

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika. Penelitian dilakukan di SD N Golo Kecamatan Umbulharjo Kota Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan model Kemmis dan MC Taggart. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes dan lembar observasi. Tes untuk memperoleh data hasil belajar kognitif siswa, sedangkan lembar observasi untuk mengumpulkan hasil pengamatan aktifitas siswa dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievment Division (STAD dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Pada pelaksanaan pratindakan persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa sebesar 39,13%, sedangkan siswa yang belum tuntas 60,87%. Pada siklus I ketuntasan belajar meningkat menjadi 78,26% dan siswa yang belum tuntas 21,74%. Pada siklus II ketuntasan belajar mencapai 100%.

 Abstract

This research aims at improving the students learning achievement in the Mathematic Subject. It was done in Golo elementary school , Umbulharjo Sub-district, Yogyakarta. This research was an action research using Kemmis and MC Taggart design. The subjects of the research were the V graders. The data were collected by having tests and observations. The tests were to gain the data of the students cognitive learning achievement while the observations done by fulfilling observation sheets were to collect the data of the students’ and teacher’s activities. The results of the research show that implementing Student Teams Achievment Division (STAD) cooperative learning can improve the students’ learning achievement in the Mathematic Subject. In the pre-action, 39,13% of the students had passed the standard of achievement while the other 85.29% had not. In cycle I, 60,87% of the students had passed the standard of achievement while the other 21,74% students had not. In cycle II, the percentage of the students having passed the standard of achievement reached 100%.
