PENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMECAHKAN MASALAH IPA MELALUI PENDEKATAN SAVI UNTUK SISWA KELAS V SD NEGERI 2 PULIHARJO

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mememecahkan masalah IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri 2 Puliharjo, Puring, Kebumen melalui Pendekatan SAVI. Jenis peneltian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas atau Classroom Action Research. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018 yang berjumlah 21 siswa. Desain penelitian menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah tes tertulis dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis kuantitatif dan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian tindakan kelas ini menunjukkan bahwa Pendekatan SAVI dalam pembelajaran IPA dapat meningkatkan proses belajar dan kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa. Peningkatan kemampuan memecahkan masalah siswa dapat dilihat dari nilai tes yang diperoleh siswa. Pada akhir siklus I nilai rata-rata tes siswa mencapai 76,19. Pada akhir siklus II nilai rata-rata tes mencapai 93,57 pada pertemuan kedua.

Abstract

This research aim to improve the problem-solving skills of Science of the fifth Grade students of SD Negeri 2 Puliharjo, Puring, Kebumen through SAVI approach. This was a Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this research were the fifth Grade students in the second semester of 2017/2018 school year with 21 students in total. The research design was based on the model of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The techniques used in data collection were written tests and observation. The data analysis techniques used quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The results of the research show that SAVI approach in Science learning is likely to improve the learning process and problem-solving skills. The improvement of students' problem-solving skills can be seen from the obtain test scores. At the end of the first cycle, the average test scores of students reach 76.19. At the end of the second cycle, the average score of the test reach 93.57 in the second meeting.
