PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR ANALISIS DAN RASA INGIN TAHU MENGGUNAKAN MODEL INKUIRI TERBIMBING

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir analisis dan rasa ingin tahu siswa dalam pelajaran IPA melalui penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada kelas V SD Negeri Beji, Kulon Progo. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, dengan subjek penelitian berjumlah 31 siswa. Desain penelitian menggunakan model Kemmis dan McTaggart. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes uraian, angket dan observasi. Teknik analisis data menggnakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Kriteria keberhasilan kemampuan berpikir analisis adalah minimal 75% dari jumlah siswa mencapai nilai ≥75. Kriteria keberhasilan variabel rasa ingin tahu adalah minimal 75% siswa mendapat skor ≥75. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase ketuntasan kemampuan berpikir analisis mengalami peningkatan dari pra siklus 35.5%, siklus I 38.71%, dan siklus II 80.64%. Selanjutnya persentase ketuntasan rasa ingin tahu juga mengalami peningkatan dari pra siklus 35.5%, siklus I 51.61%, dan siklus II 77.41%. Persentase keterlaksanaan model inkuiri terbimbing pada siklus I yaitu 83.3% dan pada siklus II yaitu 100%.

Abstract

This research aims at improving analytical thinking skill and curiosity of students in science learning through guided inquiry model implementation in fifth grade students of SD Neeri Beji. The type was classroom action research, with subjects were 31 students. The design used Kemmis and McTaggart model. Data collection techniques was describing test, questionnaire, and observation. Data analysis technique was quantitative descriptive. The success indicator for analytical thinking skill was at least 75% of the students reached  ≥75. The success indicator for curiosity was at least 75% of the students reached score ≥75. The result of this research shows that percentage of analytical thinking skill improved from pre cycle 35.5%, first cycle 38.71%, and second cycle 80.64%. Furthermore, percentage of curiosity also improved from pre cycle 35.5%, first cycle 51.61%, and second cycle 77.41%. Percentage of using guided inquiry model in first cycle is 83.3% and in second cycle is 100%.
